The school I went to had a huge student body, and everyone was pretty indifferent to others. If you tried to stand out in a place like that, you'd just end up being ridiculed, and I personally didn't want to do anything that would make me stand out. I didn't even sing for my friends. In fact, even after I appeared on TV, all I got were comments like, 'Oh, you sing,' and when I won, they just casually said, 'That's great!' (laughs). They get excited about their favorite food, pizza, but they're pretty indifferent to things they're not interested in. In a good way, everyone is really honest with themselves.""
