Speaking and singing at the Departure Conference, Toronto

Interview Magazine article

Performance Details

Grace’s concert in Toronto on May 7, 2025, had been added to the program of a Departure music festival in Toronto, weeks after the Childstar tour was announced. She and her co-writer Eren Cannata were interviewed at the conference track of the festival by Bee Ramesh. (Marketing Manager at Birthday Cake Records, and as "Eboshi", one half of the experimental hip-hop group, Cartel Madras.) There does not appear to be any recordings of the complete interview, but in a a short snippet posted online, Grace was asked what her favourite collaboration with a Canadian artist would be, and she ended up with "The Weekend". In another snippet, Grace talked about her creative process and why her collaboration with Eren Cannata was so successful. After the interview, Grace and Eren (on guitar) performed "Call It What You Want".

Grace was interviewed for the "Sound Advice" section of "Interview Magazine" "Interview’s weekly destination for playlists curated by our friends, enemies, and lovers." Basically, answering a set of questions they ask all their guests for this section. We learnt that she no longer has a ukulele at her house and hasn’t played one in a long time.. She suggested another couple of colabs: "Lana Del Rey, or Addison Rae, or Julia Fox". To the question "What does your notes app look like?" she answered: "Like a woman who needs some serious, serious psychological help." And she made a "Sound Advice Playlist".
