Cancelled Show at Hudson Yards, New York
Grace was to perform as the last show of the season at the Hudson Yards Summer Concerts in Manhattan, New York. But heavy rain and thunder led to the cancellation of the show at the last minute.
Grace was active on social media in the hours up to the show, she met fans and signed memorabilia, and was ready to go on stage no matter the weather. Some fans posted from after the cancellation, writing “Hail and 60 mph winds. We gave it a try, but at 7, they told us to go inside immediately due to severe thunderstorm warning. Waited until 8, but got cancelled as soon as the rain stopped ". Grace posted a picture of her packing up with the caption "Love you guys 💔so sad love anyone who came out today you are the best"

The crew for the show were to have been her bandmates from the Today Show back in October 2024: Her cowritter on much of the Childstar Album, Eren Cannata on Keyboards, Mike Benj (who calls himself "Drummer For Grace Vanderwaal & Gym Class Heroes" on his TikTok profile) on Percusion and Nico Aranda on guitar.
The Hudson Yards Summer Concert Series is a "free eight-week series that showcases rising artists across a variety of genres". Each show opened with a set by DJ CHACI.
