Performance in Nashville
Grace performed at the legendary Bluebird Café in Nashville Tennessee.
She performed at least three new songs, with two musicians accompanying her on stage (guitar, percussion).
Presumably at the same event, Grace ran into musician Mike Barlow, who posted on Instagram the day after with the caption ’’GRACE VANDERWAAL!!!!! Ahhhhhh’’
NB We are not quite sure about the circumstances of this performance. On June 14th, the event scheduled on the café’s website was writer’s night, but the artist listed for that was not Grace, but a Kelley Cole. But since this event is sponsored by RIAA (the Recording Industry Association of America) and there is a RIAA logo behind Grace in one of the video-clips, her performance most likely was on the 14th.
The café’s website describes the writer’s nights as: ‘’A beloved weekly tradition since 1986, Sunday Writers Night showcases up-and-coming songwriters who have earned their spot through a Bluebird Cafe audition. Each performer shares a three-song set in an intimate listening-room environment designed to help artists grow their songwriting craft’’ This does not exactly fit Grace’s profile, but they may have made an exception. We know nothing about the musicians that accompanied her.
